Re: HEMA Elections August 2016

I'd like to nominate Jake, because he ought to be nominated every year until he's willing to run again. I appreciate the nomination but must again decline this year. My focus continues to be on my club, the eventual full launch of our Liechtenauer Federation (xKDF...a HEMA Alliance friend!), and Lo...

Re: Albion Liechtenauer...

It's my favorite blunt.

That said, it's a little on the unsafe side for heavy sparring, even with good gloves. They're not allowed at most competitions for that reason.

But as a pure training blunt, it's completely my favorite.

Re: Pseudo Peter von Danzig's Verkehrer (half-hew)

I think the better question is, what's a half hew, and does it happen to look a lot like an unterhau?

Czesc, Panie Piotrzu.

Which Charlottesville are you referring to? There's probably one in every US state, especially out east. If you're in Virginia, you have a few really good options.

Re: Marylander seeking HEMA group for unarmed training

Hi. I'd check out the club at the Krav Gym in MD, Maryland Kdf (http://www.xkdf.org). They are not ringen-focused, but there's an interest there and you could probably convince some folks to start spending more on it. Also, the club trains at Krav MD, but they're not part of Krav MD. I'm not sure wh...

Re: The Schielhauw Doesn't Seem To Make Any Sense

Cool discussion Mike.

I've got no issue cutting with the schiller in that video. I also find that nothing works better against an opponent in a lazy longpoint, centered pflug, or posta breve as that schiller. YMMV.
