I accept the nomination. My focus is on PR and outreach, but I am ever the administrator.
I'll keep this short for now.

I still have faith that the Once and Future King will return some day to lead us into a new golden age.

I accept the nomination.
That being said, I do not feel that at this time I would be an effective President. Maybe with some GC experience under my belt.
Thank you.

Richard Marsden wrote:Elections!
The HEMA Alliance is a 501c3 non-profit whose day to day operations are run by an elected Governing Council. The Governing Council serves a year term with a 5 year consecutive term-limit. Each year we go through the process of electing a President and 6 Governing Council members, for a total of 7 people in the GC.
After elections the GC chooses a Curriculum Council Director. The CC director operates and maintains Instructor Certification.
Time Frame (Subject to change if we have any delays)
Nominations 7-2-2016 - 7-25-2016
Voting 8-1-2016 - 8-8-2016
New GC Installed
8-15-2016
How it works
People can nominate others to run for office in this forum thread.
People nominated must be a HEMAA member and be prepared to volunteer their time to attend meetings and work on HEMAA issues.
People nominated must accept and also indicate if they are running for the position of President. Only people who have been on the Governing Council before can run for President.
What sort of work needs to be done?
Maintaining Records (Membership/Taxes/Budget)
Maintaining Stock (Shirts/patches)
Website Design and Maintenance
News Letter
Ensure fees (insurance/corporate/IRS) are paid
Promote Projects (Wiktenauer)
Promote Services (Event-Support, Discounts, Instructor Certification)
Promote HEMAA
Educate (Members/Affiliates/Events/Public)
Keep the HEMAA Board of Directors informed
Maintain relationships with the community
Moderate social media
Vote on expenditures
Vote on policy
Update forum on GC business
More!
Who is unable to run?
Richard Marsden. Tyranny of some sort for about 4 years is enough, as Pres or on GC. It's been fun and I'm glad we accomplished lots of the nuts and bolts of getting HEMAA to run better. I'm on the Board of Directors, so it's not like you're entirely rid of me. Although he doesn't like to be called out, special thanks to Jayson Barrons for working hard along with Chris Phoenix on solving the automation on membership. Major issue to me and it has largely been solved along with much more! Thanks guys. Thanks to Ben Floyd for sticking with me for 4 years.

I assume you meant to edit the original post, not post an altered quoted version, so I fixed it for you.
