Thanksgiving Break Cutting Party

Postby Brian Frick » Tue Nov 09, 2010 3:49 pm

Jason and I thought we might have a cutting party/barbecue over Thanksgiving break. Location undetermined. Entry fee will be one pumpkin per person. Bring empty water bottles, milk jugs, and deer carcasses. The question is: what day is best?

The thing about the 20th is that is when the Pumpkin Launch at CSUF is going down and I do not know if we are going to make that an official event for us.
So, my vote will be pending that decision.

@Myles: Whoops, I forgot about that. Some of us will probably go whether we are officially part of the event or not, so I removed Saturday. It reset the tally, so you'll have to vote again.

I'm still waiting on word from the pumpkin launch people. Hopefully we can make it an official event.

I'm leaning very much toward making the cutting party part of our normal practice, since I'm so far out that I can't make many trips.

Point of fact, I may skip out this Wednesday, gas money is very tight right now.

Sorry guys.
Do right, there is nothing else.

I think we might have to forego the deer carcasses and BBQ then if we make it part of the practice. Of course there are advantages to that as well; if its part of practice then we will be arguably more focused on the training aspect of the test cutting and it would be at CSUF which is remarkably convenient for me at least.

Sorry guys--there won't be any cutting at CSUF. The draconian authorities say no. :(

You can't blame that one on draconian authorities, Jason. It's the law — no (fixed bladed) stabby things on college campuses.

I know--but that's still the draconian authorities: just the legislature's big brother instead of the local big brother.

Swords are doubeplusungood!

Just watch. This whole thread's going right down the memory hole....
