The Gotha Research Library has about 694,000 books, including 11,436 manuscripts, any one of which could be called a "Gotha Codex", and it is not even the only library in Gotha.

But anyone using the term "gotha codex" to refer to it without additional details is just creating confusion. It's not even the only manuscript fencing manual in Gotha (see: http://wiktenauer.com/wiki/Universit%C3 ... furt/Gotha).
