Hello, I'm writing a novel set in a medieval-ish fantasy setting where I want my main characters to also practice the use of the Glaive, while the story will mostly focus on their learning the use of magic I would still like to try and be accurate wherever I can be regarding proper combat. Unfortunately googling "Glaive historical manual" and the like doesn't yield anything more than some reddit posts and the wikipedia page (which is very bare)
So I was wondering what literature (preferably available online for free as I am broke) would be a good spot for me to start learning about the various polearms and other weapons throughout what people usually call "Medieval" (I mean here how people usually refer to anything from the first metal crafted tool to the advent of rifles as being medieval.)
Thanks to anyone willing to help!
Polearms, spears, etc where do I start?

http://wiktenauer.com/wiki/Category:Weapons is a good start (Specifically, poles & staffs)
You can also look at some of the Asian stuff; https://www.chineselongsword.com/ has Chinese manuals, Japanese Naginata has living traditions (I imagine spear also does), there's probably other stuff around.
