I think we should embrace the term "rampant badgers" to describe ourselves 8-)

Here's another variant. We could add a banner along the bottom with our name, and change the colors if no one else likes white and red.

My vote:

A white badger, for Wisconsin and boldness
Wearing a crown, to symbolize mastery in the art, our goal
Holding a sword, to represent swordsmanship
All on a a red shield, in the shape of Wisconsin
With crossed poleaxes or haldbreds, because it looks cool and pole weapons are fun
And below the shield/state, a little flowy ribbon that states in olde timey text: Wisconsin Historical Fencing Association

My vote is the same as Tylor's.

Has anyone started working on or completed the final version of the drawing yet?

Nope. So far as I know, we have about a dozen members, but only 4 have said they like this one. I was going to try to get a better consensus before we took this to a graphic artist to work on.

Most members are not on here yet. You are probably better off sending an E-mail at everyone asking for thought/objections, or having you and Aaron bring it up at the next respective chapter meetings, and take a vote.

Have you guys made a final decision on the logo yet? I do like the red Wisconsin with the badger and crossed swords. It looks cool and matches the name.

We're going with Tylor's:

A white badger, for Wisconsin and boldness
Wearing a crown, to symbolize mastery in the art, our goal
Holding a sword, to represent swordsmanship
All on a a red shield, in the shape of Wisconsin
With crossed poleaxes or halberds, because it looks cool and pole weapons are fun
And below the shield/state, a little flowy ribbon that states in olde timey text: Wisconsin Historical Fencing Association

Currently looking for a graphic artist to take it on. We've got someone in mind, but if she's not interested we'll probably put it up on Elance or something.
