Five Finger Sparring Glove - Reviews and Thoughts

Postby David of PSHS » Thu Sep 22, 2016 9:07 am

Hi HEMA Alliance,
What are your thoughts on the new Five Finger Sparring Glove from Sparring Gloves? Have any of you had any experience with it? How is the protection? How is the mobility? Have any of you had the resin that protects your finger break? I am looking to buy the Three Finger Hoof model or the new Fiver Finger version if people really support it. I mainly practice Longsword and Sword and Buckler so my needs for the glove would revolve around those arms.
I thought we could use this forum as a review for the product.
Thanks guys for your feedback!

Mobility is good. Protection is excellent.

There's been rumours of the resin breaking, but it seems to mostly be an issue for people who've bought them undersized and tried to cram padding in as well.

You want a liner glove (the rig lizard models are pretty much the standard here, so I'd recommend those). Get your liners first, then measure your hands over them for sizing.
