Buying a Sword

Postby AaronW » Wed Jan 18, 2017 1:40 pm

So I'm looking at buying a sharp, mostly to run through solo drills and do some cutting practice. I don't need some awesome tatami killing machine for tournaments, but something durable and sharp enough.

Ideally, it would be less than 400 USD and could stand up to steel on steel low speed sparring/binding drills if I decide to do that one day, which I wouldn't do now but who knows how I'll feel in a couple years. I like to keep my options open.

My feder is a trnava by Regenyei, which is a little heavier than the average feder, and ideally my sharp would be similar since I'm mostly doing this to learn cutting form that will translate into how I swing my blunt.

So, suggestions?
