Considering this thread is already a month old, it's entirely possible that you have already found the answers you seek, however, since there are yet any replies here, I will give mine.

I myself am still fairly new to the world of HEMA, having only started 6 months ago, but I'd like to think I at least have a decent working knowledge of the subject. As for literature, http://wiktenauer.com should have pretty much everything you need for whichever master you choose. On the subject of Fiore vs Leichtenauer, it really depends on your preference, I personally prefer Italian longsword, so I Started with Fiore and have devoted most of my studies to the same, but if you prefer German techniques, then the obvious choice for you would be Leichtenauer.
